Special gallery exhibits will be featured throughout the Gallery Walk including:

  • Fond memories of playtime with her children inspire the work of Indiana Artisan painter Cindy Cradler. Her colorful and happy renditions of classic toys such as Rock 'Em Sock 'Em Robots, Raggedy Ann and marbles will remind you of days past -- and might be the perfect one-of-a-kind gift for your Valentine or yourself. Meet Cindy and see what's on her easel as she paints during the monthly Gallery Walk at the Indiana Artisan store, next to Joe’s Butcher Shop (111 W. Main St., #120).

  • Join Hoosier Salon for the Opening Reception of “Near and Afar: A Matter of Perspective” featuring new work by Kathryn Houghton and Michael Janosky. Both artists are adept at accurately replicating light’s-play in the natural world and do so with confident boldness (22 N. Range Line Rd.).

  • Rita Spalding is an Indianapolis based artist whose show titled "Nuances" will be at Art on Main during the month of February. Rita is best known for her large works of flowers which are displayed in national and regional galleries and businesses. She will be hosting a reception open to the public on Friday, February 9 at Art on Main from 6 to 8:30 p.m. and will visit with shoppers during the Gallery Walk on Saturday, February 10. Also featured for February are artists Penny Roberson and Cy Donelly, both of whom are instructors at Art Studio of Carmel. They will hold a public reception February 3 (111 W. Main St., #140).

  • The Carmel Arts Council’s Children’s Art Gallery features students from Woodbrook Elementary School and their exhibit “Sweetness and Light”. This exhibition features artwork the students created after learning about the art of American artist Wayne Thiebaud. Woodbrook students focused primarily on Thiebaud’s paintings of delicious desserts and sweet treats. The Gallery Annex showcases artwork from students at Carmel, Clay and Creekside Middle Schools in addition to artwork from the students at Carmel High School. The CAC’s “Community Art Exhibit” will feature a 3-D “bread tag” dress and a purse created by Carmel High School senior, Danielle Rothchild. Danielle’s creations are in our gallery to showcase her non-profit “Danielle Cares for Chairs.” (40 W. Main St.)

  • CCA Gallery’s Sweet ART Special takes place from February 7 – 14. Purchase an item for $10 or more and receive a FREE floral print (111 W. Main St., #135).
