  • Carmel Police Department Reports - Dangers of “Spice”
    A 16 year old Carmel female is recovering from a seizure after smoking a substance known as “spice”. On February 14, 2012 at approximately 5:00 pm the Carmel Police Department responded with the Carmel Fire Department to investigate a report of 16 year old female having seizures in the 2500 block of Durbin Dr. Witnesses stated that the 16 year old female took one hit of a substance known as "spice" and began to convulse. The female was taken to Saint Vincent's Hospital on 86th Street and kept overnight for observation.
  • New Public Art feature in the Arts and Design District
    The City of Carmel will welcome two new statues to its J. Seward Johnson sculpture collection this Saturday, February 11 at the IU Health North Hospital Valentine’s Gallery Walk from 5 – 10 p.m. in the Arts & Design District. The statue “One Man’s Search,” featuring a man wearing a Carmel High School sweater sitting on a bench reading a book, will be placed in front of Huddles Frozen Yogurt located at 110 West Main Street, Suite 115. The statue “Ambassador of the Streets,” depicting a woman dressed in a red business suit walking her dog, will be placed in front of 14 Districts boutique located at 110 West Main Street, Suite 104.
