The City of Carmel accepts applications for open positions only. Those positions will be posted on this web site and in the Human Resources Department at Carmel City Hall. If you meet the job qualifications described in the job posting, we encourage you to apply. Applicants must be submitted online. To apply for a position, you will first need to create an applicant profile. After you create your profile you will be able to apply for one or more open positions. A separate application must be submitted for each available position for which you wish to apply. A resume may be attached to your application but may not be submitted in lieu of an application. Applications must be received by 5:00 p.m. on the closing date of the recruitment (unless the recruitment is continuous). Late applications will not be accepted.
All applications received by the filing deadline will be screened. Depending upon the position you have applied for, the screening process may include one or more of the following: application review and evaluation, performance test, written test and/or oral interview examination. Those candidates selected as best meeting the needs of the City will be invited to continue in the selection process. All applicants are required to pass a pre-employment drug test and a background screening before they are hired. Additional tests may be required.
