**Update**
The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) are now assisting with this case. There are no updates at this time, however, the investigation is still active and more information will be released when available.
Missing Persons Update
On Saturday February 26, 2022 Ciera Breland (Locklair) was reported as a missing person to the Carmel Police Department. Carmel Police Detectives immediately began an investigation into the whereabouts of Breland. During the course of the investigation, the Carmel Police Department began working with the City of Johns Creek Police Department in Johns Creek, GA. Through the combined efforts of both agencies, the missing person's husband, 37-year-old Xavier Breland Jr., has been identified as a person of interest in this case. He has not been criminally charged in relation to this case, but has been arrested on an unrelated warrant out of Coweta County, GA. He is currently incarcerated at the Hamilton County Jail awaiting extradition back to Georgia.
This continues to be an active investigation, and this is the only information that will be released at this time. As the investigation continues, more information will be released as it becomes available.
