How to get to Carmel

High volume transportation routes such as Interstate 465, 65, 69 and 70 are easily accessed from Carmel. Major roadways, US 31 and Keystone Parkway, also pass through the City. Keystone Parkway, a four-lane expressway, including grade-separated, full-access, roundabout interchanges at six existing intersections allowing for the free-flow of traffic cross streets access.

Air travel is easily accessible from Carmel with three nearby airports. The Indianapolis International Airport is just 40 minutes from Carmel for easy connectivity to major air carriers. Additionally, the Indianapolis Executive Airport and Indianapolis Metropolitan Airport are just minutes away in neighboring towns.

Hamilton County Express and private taxi services provide other transportation options. Seniors also have transportation options through Prime Life Enrichment as well.

Carmel Supports Local Businesses

As part of the City's economic development initiative to work closely with local businesses, the Carmel Small Business Network (CSBN) was formed. CSBN hosts meetings between small business owners and City officials to encourage communication and to foster growth and development.

An active Chamber of Commerce, OneZone, promotes and encourages business by establishing a valuable working relationship between the community and its businesses. OneZone is a strong organization in Carmel and has successfully worked with the City to create a favorable commercial climate.
