The Campaign to Change Direction

The goal of the Campaign to Change Direction is to change the culture of mental health in America so that all of those in need receive the care and support they deserve. The Campaign encourages all Americans to pay attention to their emotional well-being – and it reminds us that our emotional well-being is just as important as our physical well-being.

The City of Carmel has pledged public awareness of mental health issues by sharing the Five Signs of emotional suffering with its population of 91,065 residents in order to help them recognize those suffering from emotional distress and connect them with resources to help. We are dedicated to using all the communication resources available to us in order to share this message while strengthening relationships between the public and private sectors. Carmel is dedicated to fostering a community with safe streets and strong schools and neighborhoods that people are proud to call home -- a city where hope, prosperity and opportunity are attainable for all.
