The Mayor’s Advisory Commission on Public Safety was established in August 2024 through Executive Order SF-2024-20 to continue and improve Public Safety and work with the community to keep the City safe and secure.

Initiatives, Goals, Past Accomplishments

Explore and advise on new and evolving safety and security issues

Enhance community engagement that promote participation between public safety agencies and the community to foster trust

Discuss emergency response protocols and infrastructure to ensure timely and efficient responses to incidents in Carmel and surrounding areas

Support programs focused on crime prevention, including neighborhood watch initiatives, youth mentorship programs, and awareness campaigns that educate the public on safety practices and resources available to them

Meeting Dates
The Commission shall hold biannual meetings while also standing ready to meet and collaborate as critical issues arise.
