Michael Wallack has been a member of the Mayor’s Advisory Commission on Human Relations since 2012. Mr. Wallack is a graduate of Northwestern University and Indiana University School of Law – Bloomington (Maurer School of Law). Mr. Wallack spent more than twenty years in private practice focusing on commercial real estate. Since 2015, Mr. Wallack has been in-house general counsel at a Carmel-based software development company that he helped to found in 2007. Mr. Wallack has acted as the spokesperson for the Commission in testimony to the Carmel City Council and at the City’s annual Holocaust observance. In addition to his work with the Commission, Mr. Wallack previously served as the President of the Indianapolis Jewish Community Relations Counsel (and is a recipient of that organization’s David M. Cook Memorial Award for human relations), President of the Federation of Jewish Youth Organizations, and Chair of Indiana Equality. Except for the time that he was away at school, Mr. Wallack has lived in Carmel since the Nixon administration, is a product of the Carmel school system, is married to another long-time Carmel resident, and is the father to two children who are both graduates of the Carmel school system.
