City awards are given to employees or citizens for their contributions to the community. The Community Relations and Economic Development Department plans and develops award presentations to showcase these individuals and create a memorable event for all involved.
Range Line Pioneer Award:
This award was established in 1992. It is conferred to a person who lives in or out of the community who has been a friend to the city.
Pillar of the Community Award:
The Pillar of the Community Award was created to honor an individual or a group who has made extraordinary contributions to Carmel’s business, civic, social, educational and cultural communities within the city of Carmel.
Good Samaritan Award:
The Good Samaritan Award is presented to individuals who have shown exceptional courage, kindness and unselfish character by their act of heroism in our community.
Outstanding Citizen:
Citizen of Carmel who has demonstrated their commitment to their community with an outstanding contribution or service.
The Community Relations and Economic Development Department has received a number of awards for the work it does to make Carmel the most desirable place to live, work, play and raise a family.
