Carmel Arts & Design District
Location: Range Line Road and Main Street

Stimulate your senses in the Carmel Arts & Design District. Its vibrant shops consist of interior designers, art galleries, showrooms, specialty shops and restaurants. Also, be sure to visit the "World's Smallest Children's Art Gallery." This gallery is operated by the Carmel Arts Council. While in the district, visit the collection of sculptures by J. Seward Johnson. His life-like sculptures have earned him the title of "the Norman Rockwell of American Sculpture."
Carmel City Center
Location: Range Line Road and City Center Drive intersected by the Monon Greenway

Upon its completion, Carmel City Center will be the "place to be" with a diverse collection of shops, restaurants and nightlife. It will also offer a public green/outdoor amphitheater. The focal point of this cultural and entertainment district is the state-of-the-art Center for the Performing Arts, which includes the Palladium, a 1,600-seat concert hall of superb acoustical standards; the Tarkington, a 500-seat proscenium theater; and the Studio Theater, a 200-seat black box theater.
Clay Terrace
Location: between 146th street and U.S. 31 (Meridian Street)

As the first outdoor lifestyle center in Indiana, Clay Terrace stands as a unique and beautiful shopping destination. Here, more than 70 retailers line the center's broad sidewalks, gently rising up Clay Terrace Boulevard from Meridian Street. Vintage storefronts and antique lighting blend seamlessly with modern amenities and conveniences.
Indiana Design Center
Location: 200 South Range Line Road in the Carmel Arts & Design District

Discover the Indiana Design Center's showrooms, design professionals, artists and endless resources for residential and commercial interiors. There is inspiration at every corner. The Indiana Design Center welcomes design professionals and the public. The public is welcome to shop in all first floor retail showrooms. Many of the retail showrooms also offer in-house design services for the public. The public may shop the second floor to-the-trade showrooms with their own designer or refer to the Featured Designers page to see a listing of professionals with access to the trade showrooms.
Midtown Plaza
Location: 365 Monon Blvd, Carmel, IN 46032
Midtown Plaza is a vibrant revitalization of Carmel’s old industrial area located in the heart of a thriving center of entertainment, urban-style living and commerce. Nestled among several major employers, small businesses and residential developments, Midtown brings its own unique urban atmosphere, distinct from its adjacent districts, serving as a connection between the Arts & Design District and City Center.
A range of free amenities are available within the Midtown Plaza area, including neighborhood green spaces, community tables and benches, shade structures and big screen entertainment including movies and live sporting events. Midtown Boulevard also serves as an interactive play area for kids of all ages, featuring a spray plaza, public art, ping-pong tables, bocce ball courts, corn hole and more.
