Veterans Day Ceremony

The City of Carmel and members of local veterans organizations, along with sponsor American Structurepoint, work together to host an annual Veterans Day Ceremony, a community event in honor of our veterans. The ceremony pays tribute and thanks those who served our country in order for us to enjoy the freedoms that we have today.

The elementary grades K-5 participate in the poster contest and middle school students grades 6-8 write essays to enter into the contest. One student is selected from each grade level to attend the ceremony and present their poster or essay during the event. Indiana Members Credit Union will provide prizes for the poster and essay contest winners.

Traditionally, the Carmel Veterans Day ceremony is held at noon the business day before Veterans Day, which allows our local veterans to participate in other regional ceremonies held on Veterans Day.
