Celebrate Arbor Day in the City of Carmel
In 1989, a local group of citizens called the Citizens for Greenspace started a tradition of planting trees along Carmel city streets. Joined in 1994 by the City of Carmel, an annual Arbor Day celebration has been held each year since.
City’s annual celebration set for Saturday at Carmel Farmers Market
The City of Carmel will celebrate its Arbor Day at the opening day of the Carmel Farmers Market on Center Green. The Carmel Urban Forestry Committee will be on hand from 8 - 11:30 a.m. to answer landscaping questions, promote proper tree planting, mulching and pruning. In addition, you can pick up a free tree seedling.
